Senior Automation and Verification Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Automation & Verification Engineer with expertise in networking and open source to join our team. The role focuses on ensuring seamless integration between access points and switches, the cloud-based management plane, and an AWS-backed backend infrastructure. Your primary responsibility is to design and automate the end-to-end Cloud-to-Ground validation process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

✅ Framework Development: Design, build, and maintain Python-based automated test frameworks to validate Cloud-to-Access Point (AP) communication via vendor-provided Cloud SDKs

✅ End-to-End Verification: Develop and execute end-to-end and stress test scenarios for Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP) and cloud-hosted firmware management pipelines

✅ Protocol Testing: Conduct deep packet inspection and traffic analysis using tools such as Wireshark to validate IEEE 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) functionality, WPA3 security mechanisms, and roaming protocols (802.11r/k/v)

✅ CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) test suites into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous validation of cloud updates against field-deployed hardware

✅ Performance Benchmarking: Measure and analyze system performance metrics, including latency, throughput, and Northbound API responsiveness, to ensure carrier-grade reliability

REQUIREMENTS

1. Networking & Open Source

— Deep understanding of disaggregated networking architectures, including separation of the Control Plane (Cloud) and the Data Plane (Hardware)

— Strong expertise in Wi-Fi protocols (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and RADIUS/Enterprise authentication

— Hands-on experience testing large-scale Wireless LAN (WLAN) deployments

2. Cloud & Automation

— Strong Python automation skills, including experience with PyTest and Scapy, as well as Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible.

— Proven experience with API-driven network automation, including testing RESTful Northbound Interfaces (NBI) and WebSocket-based device connections

3. Verification Experience

— Practical experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing, including automated management of physical Access Points and network switches

— Solid understanding of Linux networking fundamentals, including network namespaces, bridge-utils, and hostapd.
