We’re now seeking a highly experienced Backend Developer (.Net)  to join our digital engineering team.

The Role

As a Backend Developer (.NET), you will be responsible for providing high‑quality backend engineering and integration support across multiple platforms

You’ll work closely with our digital delivery and DevOps teams to ensure uptime, performance, and ongoing improvement across multiple client environments.

Please note: This position requires full-time presence in AU time 9:00am – 5:00 pm AEST (5 days per week) fully remote

Responsibilities

Backend Development & API Engineering

• Maintain, enhance, and optimize .NET/.NET Core–based services, APIs, and backend modules
• Develop new features and services based on business needs, following best coding practices
• Manage API versioning, documentation, and lifecycle improvements

System Integrations & Data Flow Management

• Design, implement, and support system integrations between internal platforms and third‑party applications
• Monitor and troubleshoot data flows, middleware components, and integration points
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliable communication across systems.
• Collaborate closely with external vendors and integration partners as required

24/7 Monitoring and Incident Recovery

• Support 24/7 uptime through proactive monitoring and rapid incident response.
• Participate in on-call or rotational incident management as required
• Assist with incident recovery and implement post-incident improvements.

Performance, Reliability & Scalability

• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize application code, database queries, and API response times
• Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutionsContribute to architectural decisions aimed at enhancing scalability, security, and system resilience

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with frontend, CMS, QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure seamless end‑to‑end solutions
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions
• Support the alignment between backend logic and frontend user experience

Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in .NET / .NET Core backend development
• Strong expertise in RESTful API development, authentication, and security best practices
• Experience with the server-side components of the MERN stack (Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB).”
• Solid experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or equivalent relational databases
• Proficiency with Entity Framework or other ORM frameworks
• In-depth understanding of system integrations using APIs, queues, JSON/XML, etc.
• Experience working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment practices
• Exposure to cloud environments (preferably Azure)
• Familiarity with monitoring and incident response tools.
