Job Description

Electrical / Embedded Systems Engineer

📍 Denver, CO (Hybrid) | Relocation Support Available

We’re representing a fast-growing, venture-backed deep-tech company building mission-critical hardware deployed at national scale. Their systems combine custom electronics, edge computing, connectivity, and ruggedized outdoor deployment — operating in harsh, real-world environments where reliability is non-negotiable.

This is a hands-on engineering role at the core of the product.

The Role

You will own the reliability and evolution of next-generation roadside hardware systems, including:

  • Designing schematics, PCBs, and cabling solutions
  • Improving power systems (solar + battery) and cellular connectivity
  • Iterating mechanical housing and assemblies in CAD
  • Writing edge-level code (Python / C++) that interfaces directly with sensors
  • Hardening systems to achieve 99.9%+ uptime in extreme environments
  • Supporting field calibration and deployment when needed

This is an end-to-end product engineering position — from concept through manufacturing and real-world deployment.

What We’re Looking For

  • BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field
  • 2+ years building real, physical hardware (professional or serious hobbyist)
  • Experience with PCB design and circuit fundamentals
  • Comfortable writing code (Python or C++)
  • Experience with embedded systems, IoT, or edge devices preferred
  • Familiarity with tools like Altium, Onshape, oscilloscopes, and logic analysers
  • Startup mindset — ownership-driven, adaptable, highly accountable

Environment

  • Small, high-calibre engineering team
  • In-person collaboration valued (Denver-based)
  • Fast iteration cycles and meaningful product ownership
  • High technical autonomy and direct impact on deployed infrastructure

If you’re excited by building hardware that operates in the real world — not just on a desk — and want to be part of a lean, high-performance engineering team, we’d love to speak with you.
