Job Description


Our UK-based client is an established IT leasing and managed services provider with over 40 years of industry experience. They deliver flexible device leasing, Microsoft 365 solutions, endpoint management, and end-to-end IT lifecycle services to businesses across the UK. Known for their high technical standards and strong customer service ethos, they support both small and larger organisations with secure, reliable, and scalable IT environments.

They are now looking for an IT Support professional to join their Technical team. This role forms part of a high-performing managed services environment, working alongside experienced engineers to deliver remote IT support to a diverse client base. You will handle Microsoft 365 administration, endpoint management, workstation and server support, and general managed service enquiries, ensuring clients receive timely and professional technical assistance.


This is a remote position open to those living anywhere in South Africa.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Provide high-quality remote technical support to clients and, where required, internal teams
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments, including user onboarding and offboarding
  • Manage Microsoft 365 licensing, Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
  • Support and manage endpoint devices using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune)
  • Configure and deploy devices using Autopilot
  • Maintain compliance, security, and device management policies
  • Provide remote support for Windows and macOS workstations, iOS devices, printers, and productivity software
  • Support Windows Server and/or Linux environments
  • Administer Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Support file servers and NAS devices
  • Troubleshoot networking issues including DHCP, DNS, NAT, WAN connectivity, and basic firewall configurations
  • Accurately log, update, and resolve tickets within the service desk system
  • Escalate complex technical issues with clear documentation and context
  • Proactively identify recurring issues, risks, and system improvement opportunities
  • Maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and excellent customer service
  • Adhere to internal processes, security standards, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with the wider support team to drive continuous improvement


Skills, Experience & Requirements


  • Recognised qualification in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 2–3 years’ experience in an IT Support, Service Desk, or Managed Services role
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), including MDM, MAM, Autopilot deployments, and compliance policies
  • Experience supporting Windows 10/11, macOS, and mobile devices
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, NAT, WAN, firewalls)
  • Experience working with ticketing/service desk systems
  • Logical and methodical troubleshooting skills
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills (client-facing level)
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with a distributed team
