Position Overview

We're looking for a detail-oriented and operationally strong HR Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle at ClinNEXUS. This role is designed for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-moving, compliance-focused environment and takes genuine ownership of onboarding, credentialing, and recruiting coordination.

Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Human Resources, you'll be a key partner to care operations, leadership, and cross-functional teams, ensuring a seamless candidate and new-hire experience while maintaining the compliance and documentation standards that our programs depend on. This is a high-impact role with clear growth potential within a mission-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle Administration

  • Coordinate and administer end-to-end onboarding processes, including pre-employment requirements, background checks, and I-9 compliance.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding communications.
  • Ensure accurate completion and maintenance of personnel records in compliance with California record keeping requirements.
  • Partner with managers to support onboarding plans, access provisioning, and integration activities.
  • Support employee status changes, leaves, and offboarding processes.

Credentialing & Regulatory Compliance

  • Manage credentialing processes for applicable roles, including license verification, renewals, documentation tracking, and expiration monitoring.
  • Maintain credentialing files and ensure compliance with regulatory, payer, and organizational standards.
  • Conduct periodic audits and reporting related to credentialing and employee records.
  • Partner with operations to resolve credentialing issues or gaps.
  • Provide guidance to leadership regarding credentialing requirements and risk mitigation.
  • Support internal and external audits and reporting obligations.

Talent Acquisition Support

  • Coordinate interview scheduling, candidate communications, and hiring workflow activities.
  • Maintain applicant tracking system records and ensure data integrity.
  • Support job posting management across platforms and recruiting vendor coordination.
  • Facilitate offer letter preparation and pre-hire processes.
  • Partner with hiring managers and external recruiting vendors to ensure efficient hiring workflows.
  • Provide recruiting process insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

HR Operations & Employee Support

  • Serve as a resource to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment practices.
  • Interpret and apply company policies and California employment law requirements under HR leadership guidance.
  • Maintain employee files and HRIS data integrity.
  • Assist with policy implementation, compliance initiatives, and HR projects.
  • Support employee engagement and HR program administration.
  • Provide administrative support across HR functions as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible HR experience in generalist, coordinator, or operations roles.
  • Experience supporting onboarding, recruiting coordination, or credentialing administration.
  • Strong knowledge of California employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and independent judgment.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and applicant tracking systems (Paylocity preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in and supporting a remote or hybrid environment.

Preferred

  • Experience developing and operationalizing HR processes in emerging organizations.
  • Healthcare, social services, or credentialing experience.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP).
  • Experience supporting compliance audits or regulatory documentation.

Work Environment

This role is fully remote within the state of California. Preference will be given to candidates based in the Los Angeles/Orange County area. Periodic travel is required, approximately quarterly, to attend team meetings, training sessions, and company events.

Compensation

Pay Range: The good faith pay range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000 + bonus. The specific pay rate within this range will be based on the candidate's qualifications, including experience, skills and geographic location.

Why Join ClinNEXUS?

  • Enjoy a remote-first work environment with flexibility and collaboration.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and leadership development.
