About The Role
We are seeking full-time Human Resource (HR) Specialists to join our HR Remote Operations Center (HRROCâ„¢). This fully remote position offers an exciting opportunity to support federal agencies with a wide range of HR activities, including hiring, classification, personnel actions, onboarding, and offboarding processes. The HR Specialist will serve as a vital link in ensuring the smooth execution of HR functions, maintaining data integrity, and supporting strategic HR initiatives. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and coordinating with various stakeholders. The successful candidate will work closely with hiring managers, HR systems, and other federal HR professionals to facilitate timely and compliant HR operations, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of federal HR services.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Experience in classification and staffing of Federal HR positions
- Proficiency in compiling and submitting Personnel Action Requests (PAR)
- Knowledge of HR systems such as HRConnect, USA Staffing (USAS), and the National Finance Center (NFC)
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and ability to foster collaboration
- Excellent attention to detail, data quality, and data integrity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to interpret and apply Federal HR laws, policies, and agency-specific procedures
- BS/BA degree highly preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government-required security clearance

- Support HR activities including processing noncompetitive hiring actions, PAR actions, and personnel changes
- Assist hiring managers with classification, job analysis, and recruitment strategies
- Coordinate and track personnel actions throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely completion and stakeholder communication
- Submit HR-related tickets and actions for classification, recruitment, and processing with high accuracy
- Maintain and update HR systems, including Salesforce, SharePoint, and other databases
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including paperwork completion, badge issuance, and system access
- Gather, analyze, and develop data for HR audits, data calls, and payroll reviews
- Assist with employee activities such as performance management, SES, political appointees, and training programs
- Support various HR initiatives related to telework, incentives, and employee engagement
- Ensure compliance with federal HR laws, policies, and agency-specific procedures
