We are partnering with a high-growth, well-funded DeepTech startup entering a pivotal scaling phase. Following a successful recent funding round, they are embarking on a 5-year growth roadmap, offering a unique opportunity for an ambitious Senior Mechanical Test Engineer - Gearbox / Actuators, to shape the future of their hardware. experienced and passionate

As a Senior Mechanical Test Engineer, you will take full ownership of gearbox validation and reliability testing for next-generation robotic actuators. This role isn't just about operating tests; it’s about ownership. You will design advanced mechanical test benches from scratch, influence core product design through data-driven insights, and eventually move into a mentorship role, guiding junior engineers as the team scales in one of the world’s fastest-evolving industries.

The position is full time, based in Brussels, Belgium, so will involve relocation if you are not based here.

The position is Hybrid/on-site, likely 4 days on-site a week. However, due to the nature of the tests, there will be occasions where being on-site will 100% be needed.

For this Senior Mechanical Test Engineer - Drivetrain / Gearbox / Actuators position, I'm interested in speaking to you, if you have the following:

• Experience with Sensors, and also data acquisition systems for areas such as vibration, torque, temperaturs etc
• Test experience for physical mechanical products
• Experience building test setups for mechanical and electromechanical
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, Labview or similar
• Experience in designing test plans and working on long duration tests
