Senior AWS-Based Data Engineer

Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly motivated 100% Remote Data Engineer to support one of our Fortune 500 clients. This candidate will have the opportunity to work for a team with a mission of building Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications for the client. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

Requirements:

• 2–8 years as an AWS-Based Data Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience with EMR, Glue, EC2, and Lambda.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Proven experience building new data pipelines
• Familiarity with GitHub or Bitbucket for version control and collaboration.

Desired:

• Experience supporting Utility/Renewable Energy industry.

Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of stories and tasks, with the potential to grow into a technical lead role.
• Serve as an independent contributor (IC) with deep hands-on experience in data engineering.
• Effectively communicate with both technical teams and business stakeholders as needed.
• A go-getter who takes initiative rather than waiting for direction.

Compensation:

The hourly pay range for this position is $62 – $70, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
