GeBBS Consulting, a leader in Healthcare Technology solutions, is helping a major Healthcare Solutions partner to identify an Enterprise Systems Engineer to support a variety of initiatives. This is a fully remote, contract-to-hire role.
Position Description:
The Enterprise Systems Engineer will analyze business requirements, design and implement system enhancements, and support enterprise applications within a complex healthcare data and claims processing environment. They will collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams to translate operational needs into scalable technical solutions, troubleshoot production issues, and improve efficiency through automation and process optimization. They will also review development work, guide solution design, and support all phases of the system development life cycle including requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation validation while leveraging SQL, web services, and Microsoft Power Platform tools to enhance reporting, workflows, and system performance.
What You’ll Get to Do:
- Analyze business and operational requirements to design, develop, and implement system enhancements that support enterprise data management and healthcare claims processing platforms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions and process improvements.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable system performance.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions and reporting tools using SQL, web services, and Microsoft Power Platform technologies including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Pages.
- Support both test and production environments by monitoring system health, validating deployments, and ensuring stability across application releases.
- Review and guide development work by conducting peer code reviews, technical walkthroughs, and providing recommendations on solution design and implementation.
- Develop and execute testing strategies to validate system enhancements, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements prior to deployment.
- Prepare technical documentation, system designs, and implementation plans to support maintainability, knowledge sharing, and operational continuity.
- Evaluate the technical, operational, and economic feasibility of proposed system enhancements and present recommendations for improvements or replacements.
- Serve as a technical resource and advisor on small to medium development initiatives, mentoring team members and supporting delivery across the full system development life cycle.

You’ll Bring these Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of four years of experience across the full System Development Life Cycle including requirements analysis, application development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Experience analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical solutions, system enhancements, and application improvements.
- Proficiency with SQL, data analysis, and database queries to support reporting, troubleshooting, and system validation.
- Experience working with web services, APIs, and enterprise application integrations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform technologies including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and related Microsoft 365 collaboration tools.
- Experience troubleshooting production issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions in enterprise application environments.
- Familiarity with automation tools, scripting, macros, and process optimization techniques that improve operational efficiency.
- Experience conducting code reviews, providing technical guidance, and mentoring engineers or analysts on development and implementation activities.
- Strong understanding of application development standards, coding best practices, and disciplined project management methodologies.
- Ability to design technical solutions, estimate effort for system enhancements, and evaluate the operational and economic feasibility of proposed changes.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to assess the impact of system changes across complex environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams, stakeholders, and customers in remote environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications within regulated or data intensive industries such as healthcare, insurance, or financial services preferred.
