Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer for flight planning space. This role requires expertise in automation strategy, API, performance testing, CI/CD implementation, and Agile delivery. The Senior QA Automation Engineer will collaborate with client stakeholders, development teams, and DevOps to delivery results and ensuring delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust automation frameworks using Katalon Studio or Selenium

• Define and drive automation strategy aligned with client standards, delivery timelines, and business goals

• Perform advanced API testing using Postman and/or RestAssured, including automation of service-level test suites

• Validate backend data using complex SQL queries across multiple databases

• Participate and influence all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with strong focus on shift-left testing practices.

• Operate within Agile/Scrum teams, providing estimation, risk assessment, and quality metrics.

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD automation pipelines using Bamboo, Jenkins, and Bitbucket

• Plan and execute performance and load testing using Apache JMeter; analyze results and provide actionable recommendations

• Support feature flag and release validation using LaunchDarkly

• Utilize Jira and Confluence extensively for defect tracking, test reporting, dashboard creation, and stakeholder communication

• Manage test planning, execution, and traceability using test management tools such as xRay, Zephyr, or ALM

• Mentor junior QA resources and provide technical guidance where applicable

• Act as a quality advocate, proactively identifying risks, gaps, and process improvements

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong emphasis on test automation

• Strong experience in cloud-native and microservices-based architectures.

• Hands-on expertise with Katalon Studio and/or Selenium

• Strong API testing experience using Postman or RestAssured

• Advanced working knowledge of SQL for database validation

• Demonstrated experience implementing automation within CI/CD pipelines (Bamboo, Jenkins, Bitbucket)

• Performance/load testing experience, preferably using JMeter

• Experience with feature flag platforms such as LaunchDarkly

• Experience with test management tools such as xRay, Zephyr, or ALM

• Comfortable working with distributed and client-managed teams
