A growing, technology-led software company is looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join their fully remote UK engineering team.

This is a great opportunity to work within a collaborative Agile environment where engineers focus on building scalable applications, writing clean code, and continuously improving systems used in real production environments.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and maintaining PHP-based web applications using modern frameworks such as Laravel or CodeIgniter

• Contributing to front-end development using JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js or React

• Building and integrating RESTful APIs and third-party services

• Working closely with engineers, product stakeholders, and QA to deliver reliable software

• Participating in code reviews, testing, debugging, and Agile ceremonies

• Helping improve development processes and technical documentation

What they’re looking for

• 3–6 years commercial software development experience

• Strong experience with PHP and a modern framework (Laravel, CodeIgniter or similar)

• Solid JavaScript experience (Vue.js, React or similar)

• Experience working with MySQL or other relational databases

• Understanding of MVC architecture and object-oriented programming

• Experience with Git and REST APIs

• Comfortable working in Agile or Kanban environments
