Location: Groton, CT - hybrid 3x onsite per week (Fully onsite for initial ramp-up)

Role Summary

The Cloud Infrastructure Administrator supports and administers Microsoft‑based cloud environments, with a strong focus on Power BI, Power Platform, Microsoft 365, and Azure. This role is responsible for day‑to‑day cloud operations, security, governance, and Tier 2/3 support, while also contributing to project‑based initiatives such as system upgrades, migrations, and new cloud solution deployments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cloud & Power BI Administration

• Configure, monitor, and maintain Power BI, Power Platform, and Microsoft cloud environments to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Manage cloud resources across Azure and Microsoft 365, including capacity, access, and service health.

1. Project Support & Delivery (What They're Doing on Projects)

• Support PMO‑led cloud and Power BI projects, including:
• Power BI environment upgrades and enhancements
• M365 and Azure migrations (users, data, workloads)
• Deployment of new cloud‑based tools or applications
• Assist with planning, implementation, testing, and post‑deployment support for cloud initiatives.
• Coordinate with project managers, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure cloud solutions meet technical and security standards.

1. Cloud Governance & Security

• Participate in the Cloud Governance Committee to:
• Review new cloud application requests and deployments
• Help define and enforce standards, policies, and best practices

1. Tier 2 / Tier 3 Technical Support

• Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for escalated issues related to:

• Cloud services (M365, Azure, Power BI)
• Client and end‑user access issues

1. Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Document system configurations, processes, and support procedures for knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

1. Power BI, Power Platform, Microsoft 365, and/or Azure - 2+ years
2. administering cloud infrastructure in a production environment
3. implementing and managing Microsoft 365 services
4. Proficiency with Entra ID (Azure AD), Office 365, Exchange Online, Teams, and OneDrive
5. Experience supporting cloud‑based projects such as upgrades, migrations, or new solution deployments

6. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
7. Experience providing Tier 2/3 technical support, including advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution
   1. Knowledge of cloud security, governance, and compliance best practices
   2. Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified, Azure Administrator Associate)
   3. Experience working in government or private cloud environments
