Senior Playwright Automation Engineer

A fast-growing software engineering and digital-products firm operating in the Cloud-native SaaS and Quality Engineering sector, building automation-first test platforms and resilient CI/CD pipelines for modern web and mobile applications. We are seeking a senior Playwright Automation Engineer to design, own, and scale end-to-end test automation that improves release velocity and product reliability. This is a fully remote role based in India.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable Playwright-based E2E test frameworks and reusable libraries for web applications.
• Author robust test suites in JavaScript/TypeScript covering UI, cross-browser, and API integration scenarios.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (build, parallel execution, reporting) and maintain test orchestration tooling.
• Diagnose and reduce flaky tests through reliable selectors, stable test data strategies, and environment isolation.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define testability requirements, acceptance criteria, and shift-left test practices.
• Create observability for automation: reporting dashboards, failure triage guides, and standards for test quality and performance.

Qualifications: Proven track record in test automation with exposure to end-to-end framework design and ownership. Strong understanding of modern web application architecture, DOM, browser internals, and authentication/authorization flows. Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across distributed teams. Prior experience mentoring engineers and enforcing engineering-quality practices is a plus.
