Fortinet Engineer – 6-Month Contract (Inside IR35)

Rate: £580 per day

Location: Fully Remote

We are seeking an experienced Fortinet Engineer to join a global consultancy on a fully remote, 6-month contract.

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing secure network infrastructures using Fortinet technologies, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.

You will be responsible for deploying and optimizing security solutions, troubleshooting complex issues, and supporting environments that span VPN, SD-WAN, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy secure network solutions leveraging Fortinet’s Security Fabric.
• Manage firewall policies, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), NAT, and UTM features.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced network and security issues.
• Develop and enforce security policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Monitor security alerts, analyze logs, and respond to incidents.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven hands-on experience with Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch).
• Strong networking fundamentals, including VPNs, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and network security best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and security tools (e.g., Azure NSGs).
