Job Description
When a pet owner messages us at 3am, they are not looking for a chatbot. They need a real vet, fast. That is what VidiVet does, and the product you help build is what makes it possible.
VidiVet is an award winning, market leading veterinary triage and support platform. We work with over 200 independent vet practices, the largest vet charity in the UK (PDSA), and have over 1 million people eligible for our platform.
We move fast, test early, and build only what is truly valuable. Now we are looking for a Junior Product Owner to join us and help shape what comes next.
The role
Salary: £28,000 to £35,000 (dependent on experience)
This is a hands-on position working directly with our Head of Product, developers, our vet team and real users. You will be close to the detail: writing and refining Jira tickets, testing releases, supporting sprint planning and capturing what users and stakeholders actually need. Over time, with mentorship, you will grow into contributing to roadmap decisions and running your own research.
We will be honest with you: we have a big backlog. That is because we have a versatile product with a lot of opportunity ahead of it and a growing customer base. It means there is real, meaningful work to get stuck into from day one.

You are probably someone who...
- Notices when something is harder to use than it should be and cannot help thinking about how to fix it
- Asks questions before jumping to solutions
- Is comfortable with ambiguity. Startups rarely come with a full manual
- Already uses AI tools to work smarter, whether that is Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or something else entirely
- Wants to learn fast, take real ownership, and grow into a strong product thinker
What matters to us
We are not looking for someone who has done it all before. We are looking for someone with the right instincts and the drive to grow. Some experience in a tech, digital or agile environment helps, whether that is a role, internship, training programme or personal project. Familiarity with Jira or similar tools is useful. Strong communication and organisation skills are essential.
Northwest based is preferred. We are fully remote but we value the ability to meet up as a team, so being within roughly an hour of Liverpool matters to us.

What you will get
- Remote-first working with the flexibility and trust that goes with it
- Close mentorship from an experienced Head of Product who has built this platform from the ground up
- Real ownership and meaningful work used by thousands of pet owners and veterinary professionals
- Access to Thrive, our mental health and wellbeing app
- A culture that values honesty, curiosity and moving fast to learn
How to apply
Along with your CV, please tell us two things: why this role and why VidiVet, and tell us about a product, app or process you have used recently that frustrated you and what you would do to improve it. We review on a rolling basis and move quickly with the right person.
