What You’ll Do:

• Architect and implement comprehensive automation frameworks for UI, API, contract, and regression testing
• Integrate automated tests seamlessly into GitLab CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous testing and delivery
• Lead root cause analysis for complex defects and production incidents, driving post-mortem findings and preventive strategies
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to improve system observability and testability
• Mentor QA analysts and manual testers, elevating automation maturity and best practices
• Develop test strategies that cover end-to-end user journeys and third-party integrations
• Drive initiatives for performance testing, observability dashboards, and test reporting to ensure high-quality releases
• Influence design decisions to incorporate test hooks, dependency injection, and logging for enhanced automation and diagnostics

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of experience as a Senior SDET or in test automation at a senior level
• Expert proficiency in Java for building test frameworks and utilities
• Proven track record designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks using Selenium or Playwright
• Strong experience with API testing tools such as RestAssured
• Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Advanced debugging skills and telemetry analysis to troubleshoot complex issues
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and TDD practices
• Excellent communication skills, with experience mentoring and conducting code reviews

Nice to Have Skills:

• Industry experience in insurance or financial services
• Containerization expertise (Docker) and testing within cloud/containerized environments
• Performance testing experience with JMeter or Gatling
• Knowledge of contract testing (e.g., Pact) and microservices architectures
