AI Test Automation Engineer

Location: Fully Remote

Salary: £55k - £70k - Contract option may be considered

We’re looking for someone who loves breaking things, automating the boring parts, and using AI to move faster.

This role is heavily Cursor AI-driven, focused on building and improving automated tests using Cypress. You’ll use AI as a daily co-pilot to generate tests, explore edge cases, and help build smarter QA systems.

You don’t need 10+ years of QA experience. What matters more is how you think, how quickly you learn, and how well you use AI tools.

What you'll be doing

• Using Cursor AI to generate, improve, and maintain automated tests
• Building end-to-end and regression tests with Cypress
• Turning product requirements and weird edge cases into solid test scenarios
• Working closely with engineers and product teams to catch issues early
• Continuously improving test coverage and reliability
• Thinking in real user journeys, not just test cases
• Helping figure out smarter ways to use AI in QA

What we’re looking for

• Strong interest in AI-assisted development, especially Cursor AI

• Experience with Cypress
• Good understanding of manual QA processes and bug reporting
• Good understanding of test automation concepts
• Comfortable reading and understanding frontend and backend behaviour
• Someone who naturally spots edge cases and weird scenarios
• Good English communication skills
