About the Role

We are building a high-performance desktop application, similar in ambition and UX to Cluely. This product sits at the intersection of real-time data, AI-assisted workflows, and quantitative finance, and is designed for professional traders, researchers, and analysts.

We’re looking for a Senior Electron / Supabase Engineer to own major parts of the desktop application stack and help shape the technical direction of the product from an early stage.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain a cross-platform desktop application using Electron
  • Design and implement secure, scalable backend features using Supabase
  • Integrate real-time data pipelines, background processes, and local system access
  • Collaborate closely with quants, product designers, and founders to ship features fast
  • Optimize performance, memory usage, and reliability for production-grade users
  • Own features end-to-end: architecture, implementation, testing, and deployment

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with Electron in production desktop applications
  • Solid backend experience with Supabase (Postgres, Auth, Realtime, Storage)
  • Proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript
  • Experience building real-time or data-intensive applications
  • Strong understanding of security, authentication, and local system integrations
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with financial, trading, or quant-focused tools
  • Familiarity with local-first or offline-first architectures
  • Experience integrating AI/ML features into end-user applications
  • Knowledge of performance optimization for desktop apps
  • Startup or early-stage product experience
