Senior Network Engineer for Electronic Trading Systems

We’re currently searching for a Senior Network Engineer to join a team where infrastructure is not just foundational - it’s a strategic pillar that enables high-performance trading systems to operate at scale across global financial markets.

(Please note: This role requires prior experience supporting network infrastructure within electronic trading environments)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain ultra-low latency L2/L3 networks supporting electronic trading systems across global exchange colocation facilities.
• Optimize network paths and identify latency bottlenecks that directly impact trading system performance.
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and observability of WAN and internal infrastructure supporting trading workloads.
• Develop and maintain automation and tooling for configuration management, diagnostics, monitoring, and telemetry using Python or similar scripting languages.
• Work across key infrastructure areas including exchange connectivity, market data networks, colocation architecture, timing systems (PTP/NTP), firewalling, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate closely with trading, software engineering, and infrastructure teams to ensure systems meet the performance and reliability demands of modern electronic trading.

Your profile

• Proven experience supporting network infrastructure within electronic trading environments (e.g. proprietary trading firms, hedge funds, market makers, or exchanges).
• Strong expertise in networking protocols including TCP/UDP, OSPF, BGP, and Multicast.
• Hands-on experience managing networks across exchange colocation facilities and data center environments.
• Experience working with multi-vendor network environments such as Cisco, Arista, Juniper, or similar platforms.
• Strong scripting or automation experience using Python, Bash, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with low-latency network tuning, market data infrastructure, or timing systems (PTP/NTP) is highly desirable.
• Comfortable collaborating with traders, developers, and infrastructure engineers in a fast-paced environment.
