AI Engineer – Madrid, Spain (On-Site)

Salary: €60,000 – €80,000 + Benefits
Location: Madrid – 5 days per week in the office
Relocation: Support available for candidates relocating from within Europe

We’re working with a rapidly expanding, highly innovative organisation that is investing heavily in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Based in a fantastic modern office in Madrid, this team is developing advanced AI-driven products that solve meaningful commercial challenges.

This is a business where engineers are given real ownership and influence. From your first day, you’ll be trusted to shape solutions, collaborate with teams across the company, and turn complex problems into powerful AI systems.
This role is fully on-site in Madrid (5 days per week), allowing engineers to collaborate closely and move quickly on ambitious projects. Relocation support is available for candidates currently based elsewhere in Europe.

The Role As an AI Engineer, you will play a central role in designing, building, and deploying intelligent systems that sit at the core of the company’s products.

You’ll work closely with both technical and business teams to identify opportunities where machine learning can create measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of AI-driven products and technical projects from concept through to production
• Design and deliver machine learning models and systems that address real commercial problems
• Translate business opportunities into well-defined AI and machine learning solutions
• Work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand and refine requirements
• Challenge existing systems and processes through innovative technical thinking
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in AI and machine learning
• Contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous innovation

What We’re Looking For Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of machine learning theory combined with hands-on experience building real-world ML systems
• Experience deploying LLM-powered applications into production
• Deep understanding of areas such as:

• Excellent programming skills with Python, plus ideally C++, Java, or .NET
• Experience working with SQL databases
• Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud platforms

Education

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline from a leading university
• Strong academic track record
