This role offers the opportunity to design, build, and maintain cloud-hosted services that power innovative SaaS platforms in healthcare. The Cloud Engineer will work across infrastructure, platform, and security teams to ensure that cloud deployments are scalable, reliable, and secure. You will be responsible for developing APIs, managing containerized workloads, automating CI/CD pipelines, and optimizing cloud architectures. The role emphasizes hands-on technical expertise, collaboration across cross-functional teams, and a focus on operational excellence. You will contribute to building robust cloud infrastructure that enables efficient data management and seamless service delivery. Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native services, including RESTful APIs and serverless components
- Build, manage, and deploy Docker containers, ensuring best practices for security, cost, and performance
- Author, maintain, and version Helm charts for Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments, including upgrades and rollback support
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing, monitoring, and versioning
- Monitor and optimize cloud deployments for reliability, scalability, and performance, implementing caching, concurrency, and auto-scaling solutions
- Manage in-cluster dependencies such as PostgreSQL, Kafka, Grafana, and Elasticsearch using Helm or Operators
- Collaborate with security, operations, and infrastructure teams to meet compliance, auditing, and monitoring requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and staging issues while maintaining clear documentation of architecture, deployment procedures, and cloud tools
- 3–5+ years of professional experience in cloud development or infrastructure engineering roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience designing and building SaaS applications and multi-cloud solutions
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tooling (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Strong proficiency with cloud SDKs/APIs (AWS, Azure, GCP); experience with Boto3 and AWS CDK preferred
- Experience developing APIs using Python, Go, and/or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Solid understanding of Docker, containerization, and Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments
- Experience authoring and maintaining Helm charts and Operators for complex deployments
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and tracing tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Elasticsearch/Loki
- Knowledge of GitOps principles and Terraform for building complex cloud environments
- Excellent collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
