Role Description (Fully Remote)

Strategic Bytes is looking for a skilled and motivated IT Support Engineer to join our growing technical team. This is a full-time, fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere while supporting our global operations and client environments.

As an IT Support Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and providing high-quality technical support to internal teams and external stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining system performance, assisting users with hardware and software problems, and supporting the day-to-day operation of IT infrastructure.

You will collaborate with engineers, developers, and other IT professionals to diagnose issues, implement solutions, and maintain a reliable and secure technical environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a remote and distributed team environment.

This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple support requests while maintaining a high level of professionalism and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user-reported problems in a timely and efficient manner
  • Manage and maintain IT systems, servers, and infrastructure components
  • Provide help desk support and assist users with technical inquiries and system access
  • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support system installations, configurations, and updates
  • Document technical procedures, solutions, and support activities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure stable and secure IT environments
  • Assist in maintaining security standards and best practices within the organization
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal IT processes and support services
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in Technical Support, Help Desk Support, or IT Support roles
  • Strong knowledge of Information Technology systems, troubleshooting methodologies, and system diagnostics
  • Experience in System Administration, including managing operating systems, user accounts, and network configurations
  • Familiarity with cloud environments, remote support tools, and modern IT infrastructure is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities in a fully remote work environment
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or similar certifications are considered an advantage
