Senior Software Engineer - AI Automation Systems

We are Urbalytics, an AI-driven real estate data platform born in Tokyo. Since launching in 2022, Urbalytics has been transforming how real estate data is extracted, analyzed, and visualized, helping investors and real estate companies make faster and smarter decisions. Today, we are expanding Urbalytics into a full SaaS platform, powering multiple internal and external products across the real estate value chain — from deal sourcing and investment analysis to hospitality operations and marketing automation.

To support this vision, we are looking for engineers who are excited about AI, automation, and building systems that solve real-world problems.

🚀 What You’ll Do

You will build AI-powered automation systems that support multiple business lines within our real estate ecosystem, including:

• Building AI-driven automation workflows across sourcing, broker relations, sales, marketing, and operations
• Creating tools for deal sourcing, investment analysis, and real estate underwriting
• Building automation systems for our hotel / hospitality operations platform
• Developing core features of the Urbalytics real estate data platform
• Designing AI agents and automation pipelines to streamline internal workflows
• Developing white-label real estate SaaS solutions for partners
• Improving data extraction, visualization, and analytics pipelines
• Designing and managing scalable cloud infrastructure
• Collaborating with product, investment, and operations teams to turn ideas into shipped systems

This role sits at the intersection of AI, real estate, and automation.

💡 What We Offer

• Salary: JPY 300,000–500,000/month (based on experience)
• Bonus: 1~3 months annually
• Highly Skilled Professional Visa Bonus (+20 points): Urbalytics qualifies for the Japanese government’s Innovation Support Program, providing +20 Highly Skilled Professional visa points (equivalent to roughly +JPY 4M annual salary value for immigration scoring).

🔧 What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Based in Japan with basic understanding of the Japanese market
• Experience working with LLMs and AI models to build automation workflows and intelligent systems (e.g., agents, pipelines, tools such as n8n or similar automation frameworks)
• Strong experience with Next.js / React / TypeScript / Tailwind
• Backend development experience (Node.js, API design, DB modeling, Prisma, etc.)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Vercel / Supabase / Railway)
• Thrives in a startup environment with fast iteration

• Experience integrating LLM/AI services into SaaS products (document parsing, Q&A, automation)
• Experience with Recharts / Leaflet / Mapbox and map optimization
• Knowledge of SEO / SSR / SSG, structured data, and performance optimization
• Familiarity with GIS tools (PostGIS, QGIS) or spatial data processing
• Experience with data pipelines / ETL for ingesting, cleaning, and transforming data across different sources
• Familiarity with DevOps best practices (CI/CD, monitoring, infrastructure as code)
• Strong problem-solving ability and product mindset
• Understanding of real estate / financial modeling or real estate concepts (e.g., cap rates, ADR, RevPAR, NOI)
• Fluent in Japanese
