Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Azure Platform Manager to lead the design, governance, and operational management of our Microsoft Azure cloud platform. This role requires a strong combination of Azure architecture expertise and leadership experience, responsible for overseeing cloud infrastructure, driving cloud strategy, and managing a team of engineers to ensure scalable, secure, and highly available Azure environments.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure services, cloud governance, DevOps practices, and platform operations, along with proven experience leading technical teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of Azure cloud platform services to support enterprise applications and workloads.
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for Azure platform engineering and operations teams.
- Define and enforce Azure governance, security, and compliance standards including policies, role-based access control (RBAC), and cost management.
- Manage and optimize Azure infrastructure components such as networking, storage, compute, and identity services.
- Drive cloud architecture best practices including scalability, reliability, security, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with DevOps, application development, and security teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native application deployment.
- Oversee Azure monitoring, incident management, and platform performance using tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Ensure effective cost governance and optimization through Azure cost management and resource utilization strategies.
- Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives from on-premise or other cloud platforms to Azure.
- Mentor and manage cloud engineers, providing technical guidance and performance leadership.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure platform services.
- 2+ years of leadership or team management experience leading cloud or platform engineering teams.
- Strong experience with Azure core services including:
- Azure Virtual Machines
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Azure App Services
- Azure Storage
- Azure Networking (VNet, NSG, VPN, ExpressRoute)
- Azure Active Directory / Entra ID
- Experience implementing cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns, high availability, and disaster recovery.
