Senior Software Engineer - Remote

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a dynamic, remote-first team responsible for building and maintaining high-performance applications that provide real-time satellite data insights to global customers. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of containerized applications and CI/CD pipelines, supporting mission-critical deployments in complex, customer-isolated environments. You will work closely with infrastructure teams, manage Terraform deployments, and troubleshoot distributed systems while collaborating across multiple time zones. Accountabilities

• Own the full lifecycle of container-based applications, CI/CD pipelines, and bi-weekly releases for critical services
• Manage deployments on customer-isolated Kubernetes clusters, including stateful applications, persistent storage, and infrastructure-as-code artifacts
• Ensure high availability and performance by proactively monitoring systems and responding to alerts, including participation in 24x7 on-call rotations
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues reported by customers or internal monitoring systems
• Manage authentication for resources and provide technical expertise to customer-facing teams
• Oversee Terraform deployments for data pipelines and support evolution of systems using Architectural Decision Records
• Collaborate across teams to align infrastructure, operations, and service requirements
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on infrastructure or DevOps
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, stateful applications, persistent storage, and node pool isolation
• Proven ability to manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines using manifests and Makefiles
• Practical knowledge of secrets management, cloud-native security best practices, and monitoring distributed systems
• Experience in on-call rotations and postmortems, with a focus on meeting SLAs and SLOs
• Experience deploying in secure customer environments and managing data pipelines (dbt experience preferred)
• Strong independence, ownership, and collaboration skills across multiple time zones
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, SQL/noSQL databases, and operational tooling like Grafana is a plus
