About The Role

This is a hands-on, creative role. The Apparel Designer will be a huge contributor in developing concepts and finished designs that align with the company’s established aesthetic and are suitable for large-scale production.

You will take creative direction, reference samples, and written briefs and turn them into print-ready apparel designs that are both visually compelling and commercially viable.

Responsibilities

• Create original apparel artwork for t-shirts and related products, aligned with the company’s design style and references
• Develop design concepts from briefs and evolve them into finished, production-ready artwork
• Design with print and fabric in mind, ensuring artwork translates well to physical garments
• Apply strong typography, illustration, and composition principles to apparel graphics
• Prepare clean, organized, print-ready files for production teams
• Incorporate feedback and revisions while maintaining creative integrity

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure designs meet brand, quality, and production standards

Competencies And Qualifications

Must-Have

• Proven experience designing original artwork for apparel or merchandise
• Strong portfolio demonstrating original t-shirt or apparel designs (not just mockups or layouts)
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (required); Photoshop experience preferred
• Solid understanding of apparel printing processes (screen printing, DTG, DTF, or similar)
• Knowledge of color theory, typography, and illustration for print
• Ability to prepare print-ready files with proper color, layering, and formatting
• Proficiency with PC platforms and Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Photoshop
• Proficiency with AI tools such as generative image tools, ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly
• Comfortable completing a paid design test as part of the evaluation process
