Job Description
We are looking for a Senior/Staff-level Tech Lead who can own technical architecture, lead development teams, and interface directly with US-based clients. You need to be deeply technical while also being an excellent communicator and technical advisor.
Located in COLOMBIA (Other countries, unfortunately, will not be considered).
Compensation: $12,000,000 - $18,000,000 COP depending on experience and technical depth.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership (60%)
• Architect and design complex web applications and systems
• Make critical technology stack decisions (frameworks, libraries, infrastructure)
• Code reviews - you'll be reviewing PRs from the team and setting engineering standards
• Solve the hardest technical problems - when the team gets stuck, you unblock them
• Performance optimization - ensure applications are fast, scalable, and maintainable
• Security and best practices - you set the bar for code quality Client & Project Management (40%)
• Lead technical discovery with US clients - understand requirements, propose solutions, estimate timelines
• Communicate technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders clearly
• Project scoping and estimation - break down complex projects into deliverables
• Risk management - identify technical risks early and propose mitigation strategies
• Client check-ins - present progress, explain technical trade-offs, manage expectations
• Team coordination - ensure projects ship on time with high quality
Qualifications

🌎 English Proficiency: C1 (Advanced) or above
• You'll be talking to US clients weekly - sometimes daily
• Need to explain complex technical concepts clearly

• 10+ years of software development experience (or equivalent depth)

• Full-stack capable - comfortable with Node.js, APIs, databases, and cloud deployment

• CSS mastery - pixel-perfect implementations, performance optimization, responsive design
