ABOUT RESOURCE

ReSource operates the largest e-waste recycling facility in the southern hemisphere — 15,000sqm, thousands of tonnes processed annually, and a relentless focus on honest, transparent and ethical recycling practices. We are building the infrastructure and technology to set a new standard for how e-waste is recycled in Australia whilst ensuring we are maximising material recovery while minimising waste.


Our founder also operates GreenQuip, selling recycling equipment in Australia and New Zealand, and PV Industries for solar panel recycling. Three companies, 30+ staff, and a complete technology transformation that starts with you.


THE OPPORTUNITY

We are replacing our entire systems stack — ReMatter ERP, Razor ERP, Xero, MicroKeeper, TeamMate and Zoho CRM — with a unified Odoo Enterprise environment across three companies.


Phase 1 — Implementation (first 12 months). Lead the greenfield Odoo Enterprise deployment. Configure core modules (Accounting, CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing, HR/Payroll), migrate data from four legacy platforms, build the multi-company architecture, and train 26+ staff.


Phase 2 — Custom Development (ongoing). Design and build custom modules that transform Odoo into a purpose-built recycling industry platform — material chain-of-custody tracking, customer portals, automated environmental compliance reporting, and commodity pricing analytics.


This is a permanent role. You will own and evolve this platform for years. You work with a small leadership team — short decision chains, genuine autonomy, and the opportunity to architect the digital backbone of three growing businesses from scratch.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead end-to-end Odoo Enterprise implementation across ReSource, GreenQuip, and potentially PV Industries (multi-company configuration)
  • Map, migrate, and re-engineer workflows from four legacy systems with zero disruption
  • Configure and customise Accounting, CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing, and HR/Payroll modules
  • Set up Australian financial reporting: BAS, GST, STP, and multi-entity consolidation
  • Develop custom Python/OWL modules for processing workflows, material tracking, and compliance
  • Train 30+ staff and provide ongoing systems support across all three businesses
  • Manage third-party integrations, payment gateways, and logistics provider connections


WHAT YOU BRING

  • 3+ years hands-on Odoo implementation experience with Odoo 16+, including at least 2 full deployment cycles
  • Strong Python skills and deep knowledge of the Odoo framework (OWL, XML views, QWeb reports, PostgreSQL)
  • Solid accounting fundamentals: chart of accounts, GST, bank reconciliation, multi-entity consolidation
  • Proven data migration experience from legacy ERP and accounting systems
  • Experience with Odoo multi-company setups and inter-company transactions
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Commerce (required for visa skills assessment)


DESIRABLE

  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, recycling, or waste management
  • Odoo Functional and/or Technical certification
  • Familiarity with Australian payroll compliance (STP Phase 2, superannuation)
  • Experience with Odoo.sh or cloud hosting (AWS, DigitalOcean)
