BI Developer – Manufacturing
📍 Remote US | CST/EST
I’m currently working with a major North American manufacturer that is expanding its Business Intelligence team to support manufacturing operations across multiple plants. This organization supports some of the most demanding sectors including data centers, technology, utilities, energy, and infrastructure. As the business continues to scale, they are investing heavily in data and analytics to drive smarter manufacturing decisions.
They are looking to hire a BI Developer to help transform manufacturing data into meaningful insights that improve operational performance. This is a remote US role (EST/CST preferred) with quarterly travel to manufacturing plants to stay connected to operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll work closely with the BI team and manufacturing stakeholders to build reporting and analytics solutions that improve visibility across operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing Tableau dashboards that provide insight into key manufacturing metrics such as throughput, downtime, cycle time, scrap, inventory, and capacity
- Working directly with plant managers, operations leaders, and engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver meaningful analytics
- Querying and transforming data using SQL and Snowflake
- Building and optimizing data models and reporting pipelines across ERP, MES, and shop-floor systems
- Partnering with the data engineering team to ensure reliable data availability and integration
- Delivering Tableau training and support to operations teams to increase adoption and data literacy
- Supporting initiatives focused on operational efficiency, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement

What They’re Looking For
- 3+ years of Business Intelligence / BI Developer experience
- Strong Tableau dashboard development
- Manufacturing or industrial industry experience
- Experience working with ERP data (Infor Syteline is a plus but not required)
- SQL querying experience and familiarity with Snowflake
- Strong business analysis skills — gathering requirements and working directly with operational stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex data into clear business insights
