Job Title: Senior QA Test Manager

Location: Austin, Texas (On-Site)

Position Overview

Perform highly advanced managerial QA/testing tasks plus hands-on analysis/testing for software development/configuration. Responsible for all SDLC testing phases including analyzing/diagnosing/resolving software problems and troubleshooting for internal/external clients. Define/review UAT strategy for CLIENT modernization projects, coordinate sprint reviews, review test cases with SMEs, lead defect triage/tracking, conduct root cause analysis, provide weekly UAT updates, ensure exit criteria met, and obtain business sign-off.

Key Responsibilities

• Define/review UAT strategy, align resources/SMEs for testing activities (including "Soft UAT")
• Coordinate sprint review feedback with vendor staff/business SMEs

• Review/edit vendor test cases with SMEs, create/update test cases with business users
• Act as main point of contact between IT Division, business users, and Vendor
• Lead defect triage, tracking, prioritization, root cause analysis, improvement suggestions
• Provide weekly UAT progress/results updates, testing status reports
• Ensure UAT exit criteria met, obtain final business sign-off
• Perform other duties as assigned by Project Manager
  
  

Candidate Skills And Qualifications

Minimum Requirements (4-7+ Years Experience)

• 7+ years overseeing user acceptance, performance, accessibility, interface, security, and data conversion testing.
• 7+ years managing/performing/monitoring/reporting test activities on modern technology platforms.
• 7+ years reviewing/updating/creating test strategy, suites, and cases.
• 7+ years documenting/reporting test results, data conversion/integration issues, PIRs/defect status.
• 7+ years providing training/mentoring to testing team members.
• 7+ years coordinating scheduling of testing staff/activities/meetings.

• 7+ years experience with test tools: Jira, TestSavvy, JUnit, Selenium, Microfocus UFT, SQL, etc.
• 7+ years full software lifecycle experience with testing emphasis (Agile/Waterfall).
• 7+ years excellent leadership, communication, organization, planning, problem-solving skills.
• 4+ years experience with performance monitoring tools (JProfiler, JMeter, etc.).
  
  

Preferred Qualifications (4+ Years Experience)

• Experience with Salesforce.
• Experience working Clientectly with Texas state agency as QA Test Manager (employee/contractor).
• Experience as team leader or project manager.
