Software Test Automation Engineer | Remote
We're working with a leading digital transformation consultancy on this exciting opportunity.
Are you a proactive Quality Assurance champion ready to lead business-wide testing activities? We are looking for an automation expert to drive software standards using modern tools like Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright within a high-impact, remote-first environment. You will bridge the gap between technical and business teams, implementing shift-left testing strategies and ensuring seamless UAT for complex, enterprise-level applications.
The Role
- Lead the end-to-end testing lifecycle, from early requirement analysis to strategic test planning and execution across web, mobile, and API environments.
- Design, build, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright to ensure high-velocity delivery.
- Drive API testing initiatives using Postman and REST Assured, validating complex auth flows (OAuth2), headers, and payloads.
- Integrate automated testing suites into CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions to achieve true shift-left testing.
- Act as the Quality Champion for the business, presiding over UAT activities and ensuring deep coverage through boundary value analysis and equivalence partitioning.

- Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Extensive hands-on experience in API Testing (Postman, SoapUI) and a strong understanding of Validating response codes and secure auth flows.
- Technical proficiency within the Azure DevOps ecosystem, specifically using Azure Test Plans, Jira, and Zephyr/Xray for defect management.
- Strong background in manual testing techniques and the ability to translate complex functional/non-functional requirements into structured test cases.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent industry experience with a focus on shift-left methodologies and root cause analysis.
