Title: Senior Visual Designer

Location: 100% Remote

Reports To: Design Director

Compensation: $85–$100/hr

Duration: 6–12+ Month Contract, 40 hrs/week

We’re currently supporting a health and science–focused client in their search for a Senior Visual Designer who can elevate digital experiences and set a new standard for visual craft across a suite of next-generation products.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly collaborative, has experience working on 0→1 products, is comfortable with ambiguity, and excels at their craft. You’ll help define the visual language for a portfolio of digital tools that are shaping the future of health, science, and human-centered technology.

Key Responsibilities

Visual Direction & Execution

• Define the visual direction for new digital products — mood, tone, look, feel — and bring it to life through high-fidelity prototypes and polished visual assets.
• Elevate visual standards through pixel-perfect execution, demonstrating mastery in typography, color, layout, motion, and visual storytelling.
• Build and maintain design systems that scale across platforms while ensuring consistency, accessibility, and brand integrity.

Strategic Collaboration

• Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, research, and brand teams to align visual strategy with user needs and business goals.
• Communicate design decisions clearly, presenting concepts and rationale to senior stakeholders with confidence and clarity.
• Mentor and inspire other designers through thoughtful critique, craft guidance, and collaborative problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in visual design, UI design, and UX design within digital product environments (web + mobile).
• A beautiful, craft-forward portfolio showcasing best-in-class digital work, with clear examples of typography, grid systems, layout, color, and visual hierarchy.
• Demonstrated ability to ship high-impact digital experiences that balance brand, business, and user needs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in ambiguous or fast-moving environments.
• Experience working on 0→1 products, navigating ambiguity with confidence and creativity.
• A passion for creative leadership, mentorship, and elevating the craft of the team around you.
