Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, test, maintain, and implement database management systems in scalable, high-performance environments.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute database changes while ensuring data integrity, system availability, and minimal disruption.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve complex database performance, capacity, availability, and scalability issues.
  • Design, implement, and enforce database security controls to protect sensitive and mission-critical data.
  • Collaborate closely with AI, machine learning, and data engineering teams to support AI model training workflows and data pipelines.
  • Provide database expertise to optimize data access, storage, and performance for AI/ML use cases.
  • Document database processes, architectures, and best practices clearly and accurately.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and technical concepts effectively through written documentation and verbal discussions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for AI-related database requirements and ongoing AI training initiatives.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven professional experience administering, testing, and implementing database management systems.
  • Strong expertise in database performance tuning, capacity planning, and scalability optimization.
  • Solid understanding of database security principles, access controls, and data protection best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience coordinating and implementing database changes in complex, production environments.
