ABOUT THE ROLE
Email threats surged 856% last year and most companies still have no idea how they actually work. At Kinds Security, we're building the threat intelligence engine that powers personalized, real-world security training for thousands of employees. As our Threat Researcher, you'll be at the bleeding edge: hunting emerging attack vectors, reverse-engineering phishing campaigns, and turning raw threat data into training content that genuinely changes behavior.
You won't be doing checkbox compliance work. You'll be doing real threat research that ships directly into our product seen by real users, blocking real attacks.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Hunt, analyze, and document emerging email and social engineering threats seen in the wild
- Develop realistic phishing simulation templates based on current attacker TTPs
- Build and maintain a threat intelligence pipeline that feeds our AI training platform
- Research GenAI-powered attack vectors (deepfakes, voice cloning, LLM-assisted phishing) and translate findings into training scenarios
- Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to turn threat intelligence into impactful learner experiences
- Publish internal threat briefs and occasionally contribute to public-facing research
