About The Role

We are seeking an experienced AI-focused Software Engineer to join our rapidly-growing, women-led start-up specializing in RAG, vector databases, cloud computing, and machine learning. This fully remote position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with the VP of Technology and the founders, contributing to cutting-edge AI solutions for high-profile enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of AI/ML frameworks, vector database technologies, and microservices architecture, with a passion for developing scalable, innovative software solutions. This role is critical in advancing our company's mission to deliver best-in-class, customized AI-driven products and services that push the boundaries of current technology.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a strong educational background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, coupled with extensive professional experience in AI/ML development. Key qualifications include proficiency in Python, with a solid understanding of API development. Experience with agentic and orchestration frameworks such as Langchan, Langgraph, Autogen, Semantic Kernel, and Lamaindex is essential. Familiarity with vector databases like Pinecone, Weaviate, and Chroma, as well as cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, and Azure, is required. Candidates should have expertise in domain-driven design, microservices architecture, and AI frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch. Knowledge of design patterns, inheritance, and polymorphism is also important. The role requires excellent problem-solving skills, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

As an AI Software Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and deploying advanced AI solutions with a focus on retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and vector databases. You will work on building and maintaining scalable APIs using Python, integrating agentic and orchestration frameworks to streamline AI workflows. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the architecture of microservices and ensure the robustness of cloud-based AI applications across AWS, GCP, and Azure platforms. Your role will also involve optimizing machine learning models using frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch, implementing design patterns to ensure maintainability, and participating in code reviews to uphold quality standards. Additionally, you will stay abreast of emerging AI trends and incorporate innovative techniques to enhance our product offerings.
