About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced GCP Cloud Engineer to support a large-scale cloud migration and AI platform modernization initiative. This role will focus on migrating existing applications, data platforms, and infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) while building scalable infrastructure capable of supporting AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics workloads.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes-based environments, CI/CD automation, and Infrastructure as Code. You will play a key role in transforming legacy systems into modern, scalable platforms designed for AI-driven applications and intelligent data systems.

This long-term remote contract is ideal for engineers who enjoy working across cloud migration, platform engineering, and AI-ready infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute cloud migration strategies to move applications and infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform
• Build and manage scalable GCP infrastructure optimized for data, analytics, and AI workloads
• Architect and manage Kubernetes-based environments (GKE) for containerized applications and services
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure provisioning, testing, and deployments
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to manage cloud environments and ensure repeatable deployments
• Build and optimize data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataproc
• Enable AI and machine learning capabilities through integration with Vertex AI and AI-ready data platforms
• Design scalable architectures that support AI model training, inference, and real-time data processing
• Ensure security, reliability, and cost optimization across cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate with engineering, data, and platform teams to support modern AI-driven applications

• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including services such as:
• Compute Engine
• BigQuery
• Dataflow
• Dataproc

• Strong Python or scripting experience
