NNSS is seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our Employee Retirement group in a Casual capacity. This Senior Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for providing expert support and oversight for two of the organization's pension plans. This role involves complex pension calculations, compliance with regulatory requirements, participant communication, and support for HR on pension-related matters. The specialist in this role must possess a deep understanding of pension plan structures, and the administration processes.

- Administer and maintain two defined benefit pension plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with plan documents and federal regulations (e.g., ERISA, IRS, DOL).
- Process complex pension calculations and provide information to vendors for processing.
- Manage pension data, ensuring data integrity across various HR and payroll systems.
- Act as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pension benefits, providing clear and accurate information.
- Assist with annual audits of pension plans, coordinating with external auditors.
- Collaborate with third-party administrators, actuaries, legal counsel, and investment consultants to ensure effective plan operation.
- Support special projects related to pension plan administration.

- Bachelor's degree in related field and at least 5 years' of professional level experience, or equivalent training and experience.
- Must have at least 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
- Knowledge of pension plan calculations and formulas.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and follow through on all assignments.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Working knowledge and experience in Oracle Fusion desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- The primary work location will be Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
- Work schedule options available to be 5/8's Monday through Friday or will be 4/10's Monday through Thursday (subject to change).
- This is a casual position (working a maximum of 900 hours per calendar year).
- Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.

Annual salary range for this position is: $80,579.20 - $120,868.80.
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
