HRIS Analyst III (Workday) – Remote | Direct Hire

Salary Range: $110,000 – $125,000


Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced HRIS Analyst III with deep Workday expertise to lead advanced configuration, integrations, and system optimization across multiple modules. This role serves as a senior-level Workday subject matter expert, owning performance cycles, driving release strategy, maintaining SOX compliance, and serving as the escalation point for complex HRIS issues.

This is a fully remote, direct hire opportunity for a Workday power user who thrives in complex environments and enjoys solving sophisticated system challenges.


Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the Workday HRIS platform and related HR systems
  • Lead advanced configuration across Core HCM, Performance, Talent, Compensation, and related modules
  • Own full lifecycle management of Workday Performance cycles (goal management, review templates, calibration, eligibility rules, reporting, and security)
  • Design, build, test, and maintain integrations (EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio, APIs/web services)
  • Monitor and troubleshoot integrations, SFTP transmissions, and file transformations
  • Develop advanced reports, dashboards, and calculated fields
  • Maintain role-based security and ensure SOX compliance and internal controls
  • Lead regression testing and validation for Workday biannual releases
  • Evaluate new features and recommend enhancements
  • Serve as escalation point for Level 3 HRIS issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Partner cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, IT, and vendors
  • Conduct audits, uploads, data integrity checks, and documentation
  • Identify automation opportunities and continuous system improvements


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on HRIS experience with advanced Workday configuration and production support
  • Expertise in 3+ Workday modules (Core HCM required; Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Talent/Performance, Absence, or Recruiting preferred)
  • Advanced Workday Performance & Talent configuration experience
  • Strong integration knowledge including EIBs, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, APIs/web services, and vendor file transmissions
  • Deep expertise in reporting, dashboards, calculated fields, security administration, and SOX compliance
  • Experience leading Workday release testing and adoption strategy
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and project prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
