ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Director of Operations, you will sit directly under the SVP of Strategic Operations and play a pivotal role in steering our organization towards achieving its operational and culture goals. Your mission will be to foster a culture of creativity, efficiency, and growth across all facets of the company's operations by ensuring systems and structure are executed well to support the growth of the organization and companies. This role demands a unique blend of operational excellence as well as strategy and culture/people related operations. You will be instrumental in supporting the growth of our ventures forward, requiring regular collaboration with a diverse set of stakeholders. Your base of operations will be in our Paris office but you will also work with our NYC and LA offices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Oversight & Operational Excellence
- Ensure alignment between day-to-day operations and long-term strategic objectives
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external advisors to drive operational excellence and business strategy
Oversee cross-functional initiatives to improve overall organizational effectiveness
- Support in establishing and executing on business related meeting rhythms and cadences
People Strategy, Culture & Organizational Optimization
- Optimize organizational structure, processes, and overall people experience
- Be a Culture champion and support with Culture related roll outs
- Partner with recruiters to set process for hiring top talent and oversee onboarding
- Manage operational execution of performance review cycles, resource allocation, and pulse surveys
- Partner with leadership to improve employee satisfaction through cultural initiatives
- Foster a culture of ownership and accountability across teams
- Remove silos and strengthen cross-entity collaboration

Process Improvement & Performance Tracking
- Identify and implement cross-functional process improvements to increase efficiency
- Implement effective OKR tracking across all entities and set up quarterly OKR review processes
- Ensure operational and tactical responsiveness across the organization
- Facilitate effective weekly meetings (music, ventures, philanthropy, etc.)
- Establish meeting cadence and sub-team structures for alignment
Financial Strategy & Operational Infrastructure
- Support the Central Operations team to partner with finance to identify profitability levers and areas for fiscal responsibility through operations
- Drive quarterly execution against prioritized financial initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years in a similar role with experience in a start-up, growth minded culture
- Experience in Human Resources and people operations
- Impeccable discretion and judgment; experience handling confidential information and sensitive situations.
- Outstanding written/verbal communication; ability to draft clear, high-quality emails, briefs, and notes on behalf of the SVP.
- Fluency with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365; strong proficiency with productivity and PM tools (e.g., Notion/Asana, Slack, Airtable) and CRM hygiene.
- High EQ and service mindset; calm under pressure; proactive, resourceful, and relentlessly follow-through oriented.
- Operational rigor with taste: you sweat details while understanding brand, discretion, and elevated presentation.
- English professional fluency required; French is not required, but is a plus
