Lead Backend Engineer_ Stong with Java, Scala, Kotlin (8+ years of experience)

Location: Bangkok, Thailand, apply only if willing to relocate to Thailand

Good leadership experience

Strong client communication experience

• Role overview: Lead engineers take ideas for new systems, major feature sets, or product themes and drive the architecture and implementation while organizing the team to deliver the technical/product vision. They are expected to have impact beyond their immediate team.
• Individual contribution: Lead projects with minimal technical guidance; provide technical direction across teams; write key architectural code; prioritize work that improves manageability, maintainability, scalability, quality, velocity, and cost; and apply cutting‑edge architecture and development practices aligned with client’s business goals.
• Team & cross-team impact: Communicate effectively to influence decisions across teams; lead or contribute to cross-team initiatives (shared libraries, POCs, guild activities); support engineers company-wide with design and technical problems; and participate in strategic technology discussions.
• Culture & leadership: Model ownership beyond the team, act as a humble mentor and teacher, look for opportunities to improve both technology and people, and share learning through tech talks and other forums.
