About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled JavaScript Developer to join our dynamic team remotely. This role is vital in maintaining and enhancing our terminal management applications used in shipping container logistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for fixing bugs, implementing enhancements, and ensuring the stability and scalability of our serverless applications built on AWS. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies, including AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and Cognito, in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of full lifecycle development, capable of reading, understanding, and modifying complex codebases to meet evolving business needs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in JavaScript development within a serverless environment, with hands-on experience in AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and Cognito. A strong understanding of web application development, including HTML, XML, and relational databases like Oracle and SQL Server, is essential. Experience with Java-based frameworks, enterprise application development, and build tools such as Maven, Nexus, and Jenkins is highly desirable. Familiarity with version control systems like CVS or Git, and exposure to development methodologies such as RUP or UML, will be advantageous. Additionally, experience with Optical Character Recognition software and documenting processes for training purposes will be considered a plus.
