The role: Quant Engineer (SE + Finance + AI)
We’re looking for a top-performing and highly ambitious engineer (m/f/d) with at least 1 year (better 2) of experience to help shape the future of fintech. Your responsibilities will include:
- Design and build fullstack features (Python backend + React/Next.js frontend) that serve thousands of financial professionals
- Collaborate directly with clients and internal teams to understand complex financial concepts – M&A workflows, valuation models, financial statements – and turn them into product features
- Develop AI-powered automation pipelines that extract, structure, and analyze financial data using LLMs
- Build and maintain APIs that integrate with financial data sources, third-party platforms, and internal services

Must-haves
- Extremely motivated and thrive in a hyper-growth startup with massive ambitions – where relentless speed, bold ownership, and non-stop evolution define every single day
- Deep finance knowledge – you genuinely understand M&A processes, corporate finance, financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow), and ideally valuation methodologies (DCF, multiples, LBO)
- Proficiency in Python with strong backend engineering skills (API design, data modeling, service architecture)
- Comfortable with TypeScript/React/Next.js – you can build and ship frontend features independently
- AI-native mindset – you stay on top of the fast-moving AI/LLM landscape and can assess and leverage relevant developments
- Experience building LLM-powered features in production (prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, tool integrations, or agentic workflows
- Hands-on experience with databases such as Elasticsearch or PostgreSQL
- Strong communication skills and clear, structured thinking – you can explain financial logic to engineers and technical concepts to finance professionals
- Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent practical experience
Nice-to-haves
- Professional experience in investment banking, private equity, audit, or corporate finance
- Experience building MCP servers & Familiarity with agentic orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar)
- Experience with financial data APIs (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, CapitalIQ, or similar)
- Founding experience – entrepreneurial drive, resourcefulness, and comfort with ambiguity
