Job Description

About FLiiP

FLiiP is on a mission to modernize the fitness industry through our all-in-one SaaS platform. We help commercial gyms and multi-location operators streamline their operations, increase member retention, and unlock smarter growth across the entire member journey. Backed by leading investors and part of the Google for Startups Accelerator, we're scaling rapidly across North America.

At FLiiP, our website is a critical growth engine. Every landing page, campaign, and site update needs to ship fast, look sharp, and convert. We need a web developer who can seamlessly bridge the gap between design and code, turning Figma briefs into live, high-performing pages while ensuring our WordPress backend remains secure, fast, and scalable.

Role Overview

We're hiring a Web Developer, Marketing to own the execution, technical health, and maintenance of FLiiP's marketing website. Reporting to the Director of GTM Engineering, you will be the technical backbone of our marketing team, working closely with Marketing Managers and Brand Designers.

Your primary focus will be front-end design integration (bringing wireframes and Figma designs to life via WordPress/Elementor) and comprehensive back-end website management. While there will be some API and MarTech integration work to ensure our leads route correctly, the heart of this role is the evolution of FLiiP's entire website. You will spend the bulk of your time crafting a world-class web experience that is lightning-fast, flawlessly responsive, and visually ahead of the curve. We need a developer who lives at the intersection of code and aesthetics: someone who proactively implements the latest design trends and smooth interactions to keep our brand feeling modern, polished, and elite.

This position offers flexibility to work remotely, from our office in Brossard, or a combination of both.

Key Responsibilities

Front-End Design Integration (50%)

  • Transform wireframes, Figma designs, and creative briefs into pixel-perfect, live web pages using WordPress, Elementor, and custom HTML/CSS/JS
  • Ensure all pages are fully responsive, mobile-optimized, and visually consistent with FLiiP's brand guidelines across all devices and browsers
  • Collaborate daily with the Brand Designer and Growth team to implement layout, animations, and copy accurately
  • Create custom shortcodes and tailor WordPress themes/templates to accommodate specific design needs without over-relying on bloated plugins

WordPress Backend Management & Technical Health (40%)

  • Take full ownership of the technical health of the marketing website, including uptime monitoring, hosting environments, and database management
  • Safely manage routine maintenance, including WordPress core updates, Elementor updates, and third-party plugin audits
  • Identify and resolve technical issues affecting site speed, Core Web Vitals, and technical SEO
  • Optimize PHP functions and implement caching/CDN strategies to ensure lightning-fast page load times

MarTech Integrations & API Connections (10%)

  • Connect and configure marketing forms, CTAs, tracking pixels, and basic automations using HubSpot and Google Tag Manager
  • Maintain lightweight data integrations between the website and our MarTech stack using standard REST APIs, Webhooks, or tools like Zapier/Make
  • Assist the Growth team in setting up proper tracking, analytics, and A/B testing parameters for campaign measurement

What Success Looks Like in This Role

  • Speed & Quality: Landing pages and site updates ship on time, perfectly match the provided designs, and are optimized for conversion
  • Reliability: The website runs smoothly with zero avoidable technical issues, plugin conflicts, or downtime
  • Partnership: You're a reliable execution partner who helps the marketing team launch campaigns confidently and move faster
  • Proactivity: You bring ideas to the table on how to improve site speed, user experience, and overall technical architecture

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience building and managing WordPress websites, ideally in a B2B SaaS, startup, or agency environment
  • Strong front-end development skills (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and deep expertise in Elementor and WordPress architecture
  • Solid understanding of PHP to manage WordPress backend logic, customize themes, and troubleshoot server-side conflicts
  • A keen eye for design with proven experience extracting assets from Figma and translating them into highly polished web experiences
  • Experience with standard marketing tools and integrations (HubSpot, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics)
  • Strong grasp of website performance optimization (page speed, technical SEO basics, image optimization)
  • Comfortable working remotely and asynchronously across time zones

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles and A/B testing platforms
  • Experience writing basic scripts (e.g., Python or JS) for lightweight AI workflows or custom API automations
  • Experience working with small, fast-moving marketing teams in growth-stage startups
  • Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and GDPR/privacy tracking regulations

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package
  • 100% remote-first work (Canada-based role)
  • Health & Insurance Benefits: FLiiP covers 50% of group plan premiums
  • A fast-moving, execution-first culture where experiments are welcomed and speed is celebrated
  • A high-leverage role with full ownership of your stack, strategy, and roadmap
  • A tight-knit team, direct collaboration with executive leadership, and the chance to shape a category-defining product

If you're a web developer who loves building from zero, experimenting with new formats, and using AI tools to work faster and smarter, we'd love to hear from you! 🚀
