As PostgreSQL Database Administrator, your role will be to help make sure that data is safe, available, and working properly. In this job, you will work with databases that run in the cloud (like AWS and Azure) and on company-owned servers. You will set up databases, keep them running smoothly, fix problems, and help improve how they work. You will also work closely with other teams to support important business systems.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar experience
- Experience working with databases, especially PostgreSQL
- Experience using cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
- 4+ years of experience to write scripts or use automation tools (such as Terraform, Ansible, or Python)
- Experience finding and fixing database performance issues
- Understanding of backups, system reliability, and troubleshooting
- Ability to work well with others and explain technical topics clearly
- Willingness to learn new tools and technologies
- Strong problem‑solving and time‑management skills
- Self‑motivated and open to improving processes
- AWS or database certifications are a plus
