We're working with a nationwide charitable organization dedicated to community impact on this exciting opportunity. We are looking for a hands-on technical leader to champion their cloud-first strategy and take full ownership of a modern, multi-site IT infrastructure.

This is a high-impact role where you will bridge the gap between strategic planning and technical execution. You’ll be the driving force behind digital transformation and cybersecurity resilience for an organization that genuinely makes a difference, utilizing your expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem to empower a remote workforce.

The Role

  • Lead the technical strategy and day-to-day management of cloud-based platforms and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Manage external third-party MSPs and vendors to ensure high-performance service delivery and strict SLA compliance.
  • Drive cybersecurity initiatives, implementing robust controls, compliance frameworks, and proactive threat management.
  • Oversee business-wide technology projects, including large-scale system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure deployments.
  • Manage disaster recovery (DR), business continuity planning (BCP), and automated backup protocols to ensure 24/7 data integrity.

What You'll Need

  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or Lead Engineer within an SME or mid-sized environment.
  • Deep technical proficiency across the Microsoft stack, including Office 365, Azure, and modern Windows Server environments.
  • Strong background in vendor management, specifically overseeing outsourced IT support and telecommunications providers.
  • Practical knowledge of cybersecurity best practices (Cyber Essentials/ISO 27001) and network security protocols.
  • A solution-focused approach with the ability to manage complex IT projects from inception to delivery.

What's On Offer

  • Competitive salary of £41,000 - £46,000 based on experience.
  • Fully remote working model with a focus on genuine work-life balance.
  • The opportunity to shape the technology roadmap for a well-established national charity.
  • Comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative, mission-driven culture.
