Backend Developer - IT Management Platform

They operate as a remote-first organization with team members across Asia.

About the Role

We are seeking a Backend Developer to join a high-performing product team. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers and the founding team to design, build, and scale backend systems, with a strong focus on quality and new feature development.

You will play a key role in expanding the platform’s capabilities and solving real-world challenges faced by companies managing remote IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable backend systems using PHP (Laravel).
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers where appropriate.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Deploy backend applications using AWS services, and continuously improve DevOps practices.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of backend development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel in production environments.
• Proven experience building and maintaining REST APIs.
• Experience integrating with third-party systems (OAuth, webhooks, APIs, SDKs) will be an added advantage.
• Solid understanding of MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Basic familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, RDS and CloudWatch.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
