Our top client in the transportation industry is looking for a Software Engineer, strong with Python, REST APIs, AWS, and Java, to join their team! You will be responsible for supporting a variety of applications related to client, leasing, financial, and employee needs while working with a tight-knit, collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with smaller, collaborative teams and shape more progressive development at a multi-million dollar, North American corporation!
(Please note - we are looking for a Python Developer with some Java experience)
This position is 100% remote - however We are only able to consider candidates currently living in the following states for this position: FL, GA, IL (excludes Cook County), IN, KS, MI, MO, NC, OK, SC, TN, TX, VA (relo is not an option)

Required:
- Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
- This position offers the opportunity to work fully remote within the United States (must currently reside in one of the following states: FL, GA, IL (excludes Cook County), IN, KS, MI, MO, NC, OK, SC, TN, TX, VA. Must be able to work a schedule within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours.
- Expert-level experience with Python
- 3+ years’ experience in Java-based software development
- Proficient experience with RESTful web services, AWS Lambda, and API Gateway
- Knowledge in API security frameworks, token management, and user access control, including AWS Cognito/Azure, OAuth, JWT, OpenAPI, etc.
- Proficient in querying a variety of data sources, including APIs, RDBMSs, document stores, etc.

- Experience working on event-based services like SQS, SNS for data integration patterns with applications
