Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer

Our client is a profitable and rapidly growing SaaS company building a product centered around EOS and AI-powered tools designed to help leadership teams execute more effectively. The organization is intentionally small, product-driven, and focused on hiring exceptional people who thrive in high-ownership environments.

They currently have a small engineering presence in Latin America, with developers in Colombia and Brazil, and are looking to add a senior Ruby on Rails engineer who can help take the platform to the next level.

Role Overview

The Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer will play a key role in building and evolving a customer-facing SaaS platform. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both building new features and thoughtfully improving legacy systems to make them clean, scalable, and sustainable.

The team operates in a fast-moving product environment with minimal meetings and a strong emphasis on async communication. Engineers are expected to think beyond tickets, contribute to product decisions, and take real ownership of the systems they build.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve Ruby on Rails applications serving production customers
• Refactor and modernize legacy components of the platform to improve scalability and maintainability
• Collaborate closely with a small senior engineering team to ship product improvements quickly
• Contribute to product discussions and technical decisions, not just implementation

Required Experience

• Strong experience developing and maintaining production applications with Ruby on Rails (typically 5+ years, though strong senior candidates with slightly less may be considered)
• Experience working with U.S.-based companies or distributed global teams
• Proven ability to improve or modernize legacy systems
• Product-minded approach to engineering with strong attention to user outcomes
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Comfortable working in fast-paced SaaS environments
