Game Developer & Co-Founder at Dreams Engine
Dreams is building the next-generation 3D game engine in Rust, a real alternative to Unreal Engine and Unity, designed from the ground up for performance, flexibility, and developer experience.
We’re looking for a technical co-founder who eats game development for breakfast and wants to build something that changes how games are made, not just play in the sandbox someone else built.
What You’ll Do
• Co-own the engine’s technical direction alongside the founder
• Build and ship core game systems: rendering, physics, gameplay loops, and tooling
• Develop demo games and internal projects to stress-test and showcase the engine
• Work on editor UX, ECS architecture, and advanced rendering features (volumetric clouds, water, lighting)

• Help shape the product roadmap, engage with early users, and represent Dreams to investors and the developer community
What We’re Looking For
• Strong experience in game development (shipped at least one game or major game system)
• Proficiency in Rust, C++, or a systems-level language (Rust experience is a big plus)
• Working knowledge of 3D graphics pipelines, shaders (GLSL/WGSL/HLSL), and rendering techniques
• Comfortable with ECS architecture, physics engines, and engine-level programming
• Passion for game dev tooling and a genuine belief that developers deserve better tools
• Startup mindset: okay with uncertainty, moves fast, and cares deeply about ownership
Nice to Have
