Position: UI/UX Design Intern

Type: Part-Time Unpaid Internship (with conversion to Full-Time Paid)

Duration: 3 months part-time → Eligible for full-time conversion based on performance

Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)

Working Hours:

• Phase 1 (Months 1-3): 4 hours/day, 5 days/week (Part-time, Unpaid)
• Phase 2 (Post-evaluation): 8 hours/day, 5 days/week (Full-time, Paid - based on performance)
  

Join a dynamic IT consultancy led by an experienced technology leader with 25+ years in IT and 15+ years in leadership roles. We provide Fractional CTO services to tech companies and startups, while also maintaining our own in-house R&D team. Our team actively works on innovative in-house and client projects, driving technological advancements across diverse industries, including education, healthcare, finance, e-commerce, and entertainment.

We're looking for a creative and driven UI/UX Design Intern to join our team and work on real-world projects. This is a hands-on role where you'll collaborate directly with our development and leadership teams to design intuitive, user-centric interfaces for web and mobile applications.

After successful completion of 3 months, your performance will be evaluated based on:

• Design quality and creativity
• Ability to implement feedback
• Collaboration with the team
• Attention to detail and consistency
• Initiative and problem-solving skills

If selected for conversion:

• Duration: Extended internship or permanent role
• Working Hours: 8 hours/day, 5 days/week
• Type: Paid (competitive stipend/salary based on skills and performance)

During your internship, you will:

• Design wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes for web and mobile applications
• Conduct user research and usability testing to improve design decisions
• Create intuitive user flows, navigation structures, and information architecture

• Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs
• Maintain design consistency using style guides and design systems
• Work on branding elements, icons, and visual assets as needed
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback constructively
• Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and best practices
• Present design concepts to stakeholders and justify design decisions
  

• ✅ Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar
• ✅ Understanding of UI/UX principles, typography, colour theory, and layout design
• ✅ Ability to create responsive designs for various screen sizes (mobile, tablet, desktop)
• ✅ Basic knowledge of user research and usability testing methods
• ✅ Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics
• ✅ Good communication and collaboration skills
• ✅ Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• ✅ Willingness to learn, take feedback, and adapt quickly
  

• 🎯 Experience with prototyping and animation tools (e.g., Framer, Principle, After Effects)
• 🎯 Familiarity with design systems and component libraries
• 🎯 Basic understanding of HTML/CSS
• 🎯 Portfolio showcasing previous design work (academic, freelance, or personal projects)
• 🎯 Experience with user testing tools (e.g., Maze, Hotjar, UserTesting)
• 🎯 Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)

• Students, freshers, or self-taught designers looking to gain professional experience
